Clients come looking for hope and relief from stress and emotional pain. I have had over 50 clients return for therapy with me because successful outcomes during the first counseling sessions. They learn that the counseling process is ultimately rewarding. Parents bring their children and teens because of anxiety, depression, reactions to divorce, other losses such as the death of a parent or of a friend. Frequently there are behavioral issues at home and/or at school. For parents, at times you need help navigating parenting your teen. Adults come in due to marital stress, financial troubles, transitions in life, affairs, significant mental health issues. Many people desire to bring their spiritual life into the session and I am very comfortable and experience with that if requested.
I have been married for 27 years and have 4 wonderful children. The first three are biological and our youngest was adopted from China. My wife works at a child advocacy group, advocating for children’s and teen’s public policy and legislation at the city, county & state levels. I am active at my church, Parkminster Presbyterian in Chili.
