A Unique Philosophy
Letting go of food restriction; putting an end to food rules and negative attitudes towards food; and being able to enjoy ALL foods to nourish the body, mind, and soul without shame or guilt.
Intuitive eater | a person who “makes food choices without experiencing guilt or an ethical dilemma, honors hunger, respects fullness and enjoys the pleasure of eating.”- Intuitive Eating by E. Tribole and E. Resch
Having the mindset of “good” vs “bad”foods is why so many people struggle with chronic dieting or restricting and bingeing.
Letting go of this mindset and allowing all foods to fit into your diet will lead you to a healthier relationship with food and your body.
HAES® | a continuously evolving alternative to the weight-centered approach to treating clients and patients of all sizes. It is also a movement working to promote size-acceptance, to end weight discrimination, and to lesson the cultural obsession with weight loss and thinness. -ASDAH
With the help of Laura you too can escape the shackles of your eating disorder or chronic dieting and experience true food freedom.
“Meeting with Laura has been life changing. Before, I measured self worth by calorie restriction and my body size, yet never really satisfied. Now, not only has my self worth improved, but I see food as a way to increase quality of life.
I previously met with 3 different eating disorder therapists without much success. None were able to identify my location on the recovery train and meet me there. Immediately Laura asked thought provoking questions that helped me recognize therapy and recovery goals. Through talking with Laura I was able to find the root of my eating disorder, improve my relationship with food, and overcome many negative thoughts/feelings about myself and life.”
“Thank you so much for your guidance, education, and support during my recovery….You have helped me re-introduce so many of my favorite foods, so I cannot thank you enough.”
