Exploring our mental health can sometimes be an overwhelming and daunting experience, especially in our current climate. Having a safe, comfortable, and nonjudgmental space to share your personal experiences is the foundation of the therapeutic process and can be the environment that you require in order to take the necessary steps to feeling whole again. My approach has always fostered a compassionate, client centered focus where your needs are put first and you are provided the freedom to be the expert in your life journey and meeting your personal goals along the way. Interventions that I have found most helpful in my professional career as a mental health provider are modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Functional Family Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
My overall goal when we partner in the therapeutic process is to assist you in overcoming your presenting challenge that you may be experiencing at the time, and working at your pace to solve these circumstances. My professional experience has allowed me to work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, addiction, fitness and wellness, family/marital issues, and learning new ways to cope with PTSD symptoms. By addressing these concerns, my hope is that you will then experience improvements in your overall mood and self-esteem, an increased sense of stability and reduced stress so that you are able to reach your maximum potential.
